Video clips — menu by menu

The application is laid out as a menu bar, and so is this page: a section for each menu, with short recordings of the screens under it. The clips are not staged — they are all taken from a single worked example, the construction of a rural health centre at Kotkhai, carried from its preliminary estimate through the analysis of rates, the tender and the agreement to the running-account bills and the departmental cement and steel recovered on them. Watch the menus you need, in any order, or follow them top to bottom to see one work move through its file. Further clips — the escalation claims, the revised estimate that closes the account, the Engineers Office registers and the master schedules — follow this first set.

Preliminary estimate on plinth area rates

Preliminary estimate PE-DEMO3/2026-27 is prepared on a plinth area of 800 sqm over two floors — ground 420 sqm of consulting rooms, pharmacy, laboratory and waiting hall, first floor 380 sqm of ward and duty rooms — at the plinth area rate of Rs 31,500 per sqm with cost index 100. The 19 provision heads are then filled in, among them internal water supply and sanitary 4%, internal electric installations 12.5%, site development 6% and contingencies 3%, carrying the estimate to Rs 99,61,875 for a period of 18 months.

Items are picked from HPSR B&R 2020 into Annexure A Main Building and Annexure B Water Supply & Sanitary Installations — 02.002.01 earthwork 640 Cum, 05.001.02 RCC 1:1.5:3 148 Cum, 06.001.02 brickwork in 1:6 132.25 Cum and 13.009.01 12 mm plaster 1,650 Sqm among them. Quantities are typed as each item lands, and the clip shows the 22 civil items being drawn from 11 chapters of the schedule.

Annexure C on the Electrical schedule

Annexure C Electrical & Mechanical Installations is set to the Electrical discipline, so items now come from HPSR E&M 2020 instead of the civil schedule: 01.001.02 light point 86 Point, 03.003.08 distribution board 32A TPN 8-way 2 No. and 04.001.08 cable tray 300 mm 240 Metre. Seven electrical items are added in all, kept in their own annexure.

Dia-wise bar bending schedule for reinforcement

The bar bending schedule is entered dia-wise against 05.022.06 TMT Fe-500D — 420 bars of 16 mm at 12 m, 600 of 12 mm at 10 m, 700 of 10 mm at 8 m and 400 of 8 mm at 6 m. The schedule totals 17,700.400 Kg, and that is the quantity that then stands against the reinforcement item in the estimate.

Entering the market quotations in the Basic Rates Manager

The Basic Rates Manager is opened on the market side and the 11 market basic rates of the Kotkhai case are entered against the materials they price, cement at Rs 5,600 per tonne, TMT at Rs 5,450 per quintal, coarse sand at Rs 1,650 per cum, 20 mm aggregate at Rs 1,580 per cum and bricks at Rs 5,400 per thousand. Each rate is saved with its source noted as Market quotation, September 2026, so the file shows where the figure came from.

Recovering cement and steel, and the secured advance

On RA-4 the TC Cement and TC Steel tabs are worked: 115.68 M.T of cement consumed against 122 M.T issued with 3% wastage allowed, and 19.33 M.T of steel against 19.8 M.T, giving recoveries of Rs 10,24,698.80 and Rs 13,24,025.32. The secured advance register (CPWA Form 26A) is then shown, with vitrified tiles and anodised aluminium sections brought to site advanced at 75% of the market rate (tiles Rs 885 against Rs 1,180, aluminium Rs 171 against Rs 228), Rs 2,10,600 advanced on RA-1 and fully recovered by RA-4.
